Artist statement

I am a videographer, photographer and mixed media artist who is inspired by the beauty of the world and people. I use a combination of blur, grain and highlights, blues, purples and yellows to capture unique moments and create work with a retro aesthetic reminiscent of the sounds and visuals of the 80's and 90's. Working primarily in the portrait genre, I strive to erase the line between the public and private spheres by exploring ideas of self-reflection, the fear of living one’s own life and love.

I fight the fear of the big world by trying to find light in the everyday moments of life. In my work I try to convey respect and admiration — love for nature and its endless intricacies. My work speaks of both light and darkness, reflecting life’s difficulties and reminding us to look for inspiration in the beauty that surrounds us.
